During my podcast I chatted with Nick, who calls himself the self-proclaimed Nick setting. Nick is one of my older students from a while back when I was still teaching my Dutch course. He's one of those people who has really excelled, making six figures a month now. That's a lot of money, especially for someone his age…
There are different levels to success - some people are just starting out, learning the basics of closing deals, while others really know how to observe and understand what's going on under the surface.
Nick's like that. Even though he started young, at 17, now he's 20 and absolutely killing it. It's crazy how things can change.
So, what did he do differently to go from zero to six figures a month? Well, it's simple:
- He analysed what successful people in the market were doing and made decisions based on that.
- He watched their YouTube videos closely, studying how they behaved and then copied their framework in his own unique way. But it's not just about copying strategies; it's about understanding why they work and adapting them to fit your own style.
- See, the key to your success isn't just copying others; it's about carving your own path and building skills that make you valuable. And he did that by being curious and always asking questions.
- He realised early on that you needed to learn valuable skills, so he focused on sales and persuasion. He joined communities, surrounded himself with the right people, and learned how to scale his efforts.
- He wasn't afraid to put himself out there and ask for help, which sets you apart from the crowd. Your curiosity and determination are what drives you to where you are now.
Sure, you might have some ego, but that's okay. It's your curious mind that's going to take you even further, maybe even to making millions.
That's what sets you apart. Keep asking questions and never stop learning.
Our conversation seems to be about personal growth and self-awareness, especially in the context of achieving success. I want to emphasise on the importance of being true to oneself, surrounding oneself with supportive people who share similar values, and staying conscious of one's actions and decisions.
Reaching a higher level of success requires increased awareness and better decision-making. Our conversation touches on the idea that even though someone may achieve success, they may still struggle with limiting beliefs or mindset issues. Overall, it emphasises the importance of continuous learning, self-improvement, and having the right mindset to reach one's goals.
When making a lot of money each month… and how even though it should be enough, there's still a feeling that more is possible.
They say that just by understanding that you might be limiting yourself, you can start to change your thoughts. If you don't realise this, you might get stuck and not be able to progress.
I spoke about the importance of taking action on what you learn, not just having thoughts. Being able to inspire others is crucial, and it's something you learn through experience. I want to emphasise that understanding people's needs and communicating effectively are key skills for success. The importance of inspiring and leading others, not just telling them what to do.
It's important to understand and improve yourself. I want to emphasise on the importance of communication skills and being self-aware. How working with a coach can help with being held accountable and making progress.
The value of self-improvement and surrounding yourself with the right people cannot be understated.
